Great new things are happening near the corner of Staples Mill Road & Broad Street! The Midtown area of Richmond is experiencing a rebirth with new retail and housing development, a bustling Willow Lawn and increasing numbers of home décor specialists taking up residence. We are excited to announce the latest addition to the home décor scene with the opening of Project1 “Your Home Resource”. Project 1 is conveniently located at 2012 Staples Mill Rd. in the Crossroads Center between Amir Rug Exchange and the Crossroads Art Center, two doors away from the West End Antiques Mall.
At Project1 you’ll find a well curated selection of antique, vintage and modern home furnishings beautifully displayed in an easy-to-navigate space.
Project1 was conceived as a source for not only existing furnishings but as a place to come when a more customized look is desired. Our member vendors at Project1 include specialists in painted furniture or the supplies needed to do it yourself. Holly Grove Repair & Restoration can repair that fabulous lamp that’s seen better days or help you design a new one from its parts.
Interior designers are represented in our space as well. Mark Grovesteen of M Douglas Interiors has joined us and other talented individuals will be joining us in the New Year.
You can see many examples of upholsterer Jessica Hornedo’s handiwork at both Project1 and at West End.
The best of 20th century modern by Maurice Beane can now be seen at Project1 as well as West End Antiques.
An art and antiques appraiser, Turner Johnson can assist you with the valuation of your heirloom treasures.
We hope you’ll have the opportunity to stop by soon. We look forward to showing you around! In the meantime, check out Project1’s online gallery showcasing unique home decor items, creative up-cycled lighting and fabulous furniture finds. Join us on Facebook here.
